After the death of Lot we know that we want another Great Pyrenees. At first we are looking for a suitable rescue dog. There are a couple, but they all find (fortunately for them) a new home before we can see them.
We have never known Lot as a pup and therefore we also like to have a puppy. We come in contact with two Dutch breeders namely La Joie Blanche and MacThree. We get to know both of them and their dogs and we have a lot of confidence in both breeders.
It will still take a while before the pups are born and that gives us the time to get over the loss of Lot and be open to a new dog. But unfortunately it doesn't go very well with the matings and the date for the arrival of a pup is repeatedly postponed. In October we think that we have waited long enough. We decide to look further in Europe and that is how we end up in Norway at kennel Alta Colina where two litters were born. In the first visit in November it is decided that H4 is going to live with us. That's her name then: H4. Later she gets the official name Hissige Hedvig. That means fiery Hedwig because in the nest she was already a tough lady.
And we call her Noor.
Obviously because of her Norwegian descent. And in Arabic it means "light" and she is therefore our Northern Light.
